Careers

Workforce Development Coordinator

RI’s vocational technical training program is designed to cultivate a range of core competencies that enable graduates to compete for a variety of jobs in advanced manufacturing. The RI social enterprise that will complement this training is also committed to providing a trained workforce of the future for RI start-ups and/or social acquisition of manufacturing businesses.

This role calls for a person with a multi-dimensional skillset as well as an entrepreneurial mindset.

In this role, you will be responsible for aligning resources and collaborating with RI’s strategic partners to position the Pathway Partnership and The Academy, and our vocational technical training program for success. You will work directly with RI’s Design Team and will receive meaningful support, training, and mentorship in this role. While your responsibility will be to lead building and implementation, you will be working in a collaborative setting in accordance with RI’s values surrounding shared work.

You will also be responsible for assembling the system required to capture, share, and interpret data related to trainee participation and progress. This requires a high comfort level by adopting new apps and exploring new technologies. It also calls for a highly organized person who is skilled at case management and building intuitive systems.

Last, as a leader in the Pathway Partnership and The Academy, you will act as a case manager and mentor to RI trainees. This means that you will actively be using the RI systems in order to support trainees and provide them with all necessary resources to complement their workforce development training. We seek a mentor whose style and philosophy are rooted in the ethics of sharing (i.e., shared power, space, wealth, knowledge, status, responsibility, and interest) and grounded in culturally relevant human and adult responsibility principles and practices (e.g., rites of passage).

The position offers a competitive salary. If you're interested, please send a resume to Sequane Lawrence at sequane@therevolution.institute.
